Description

This position is in-person and is located in Edmonton, Alberta at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy and Kaye Edmonton Clinic.

The School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time tenure track-faculty position in Periodontology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop a viable and productive research program, for which start-up funds will be available. The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest and aptitude for clinical and didactic teaching in undergraduate and graduate periodontology. Time allocation for private practice will be integrated into this appointment. 

Applicants will have graduated from an accredited specialty program and have relevant postgraduate and clinical qualifications in the specialty of periodontics or an equivalent level as specified by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC). Consideration will be given to applicants with a PhD degree and teaching experience in periodontology graduate program.

Applicants will have a record of an established research focus with excellent record of publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise graduate students and involve them in their program of research.

Academic rank and salary will be based on the incumbent’s qualifications, experience, and achievements and in accordance with the Faculty Agreement.
