In accordance with the Administrative and Professional Officer Agreement, this full-time continuing position offers a comprehensive benefits package found on our Benefits Overview page and annual salary range of $66,216 to $110,360.

Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.

Working for Facilities and Operations

Facilities and Operations is a diverse portfolio responsible for a range of essential services and work across our five campuses. From managing capital construction and renovations, providing utilities and energy management, to delivering student and campus services, Facilities and Operations works behind the scenes to make the university a great place to study, learn and work.

Position 

The Manager, ONEcard is responsible for delivering campus card services to cardholders, University departments/ faculties, external partners (merchants and contracted services) and the University community at large. This position reports to the Director of Business Continuous Improvements (BCI) and oversees two full-time positions and up to 20 part-time contracted workers.

The Manager oversees operations at the central ONEcard Service Centre while also managing satellite centres across multiple campuses through agreements with partners such as the Students' Union and Augustana Campus.

In addition to the credential elements, this role is accountable for a full range of transactional services, supports and reporting to a variety of internal/external merchants and retail providers at the University. This includes but is not limited to residential dining, residential laundry, printing services across campuses, Campus and Community Recreation access.

The Manager is accountable for effectively managing credentials for security, access control and service delivery for a community of approximately 50,000 students, employees, alumni and guests. The program promotes commerce on campus by providing a transaction service for merchants and service contracts including dining services, laundry services and printing services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or management
  • Industry-specific expertise in credential management
  • Knowledge of database systems, retail software systems, access systems and technologies
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Progressive experience in the assigned area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with credential management and transaction processing in higher education institutions
  • Strong business acumen to confidently work with multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of the University of Alberta's policies and procedures and IT Governance
  • Distinguished in establishing trusting relationships with leaders, team members, colleagues, strategic partners and other external stakeholders
