À propos de moi

Thinh a obtenu ses diplômes de licence et de master à l’Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne (FR), avant de poursuivre un doctorat conjoint en chimie à l’Université de Floride (US) et à AgroParisTech (FR). Après avoir obtenu son doctorat en 2021, il a effectué plusieurs stages postdoctoraux à l’Université Aalto (FI) et à l’Université de l’Alberta (CA). En 2025, il est devenu chargé de cours en chimie au Campus Saint-Jean de l’Université de l’Alberta, où il continue de nourrir sa passion pour l’enseignement.

Cours

AUCHE 250 - Organic Chemistry I

An introduction to bonding and functionality in organic compounds. Mechanistic approach to solving problems will be emphasized. Topics include electron movement arrows, acid/base chemistry, conformations and stereochemistry, simple substitutions, eliminations and additions to alkenes. Infrared spectroscopy will be applied in the lab. Prerequisite: AUCHE 112. Suggested corequisite: AUCHE 230 for students planning to take AUCHE 252.
