AFNS 577 - Advanced Community Nutrition
Examination of nutrition problems in contemporary communities that relate to health promotion, food security, policy, program planning and community nutrition throughout the life cycle. Discussion of nutrition programs and resources. Students will develop the skills to write a community grant application. Not to be taken if credit received for NUTR 477. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
NU FS 250 - Applied Food Theory
Fundamental food preparation skills and practical application of food theory to household food preparation issues through laboratory-based instruction. Prerequisite: NUTR 100.
NUTR 477 - Advanced Population and Public Health Nutrition
Builds on concepts learned in introductory community nutrition that relate to health promotion, food security, policy, program planning and community nutrition throughout the lifecycle. Students will develop the skills to write a community grant application. Prerequisites: (NUTR 302 or NU FS 305), NU FS 356 and NU FS 377.
