About
Habib is a graduate student currently working in the Advanced Alarm Management and Design (AAMD) Research Group under the supervision of Dr. Tongwen Chen at the University of Alberta. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Bangladesh, in 2012 and 2017, respectively and worked as an Assistant Professor for two years. He also obtained an M.Eng. (research mode) in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, in 2020. In addition, he worked as a lecturer at various universities and as a Power Systems Engineer at Dhaka Electrical Supply Company in Bangladesh. He has a total of four years of industrial experience in Power System Distribution, Control and Automation, SCADA, Alarm Monitoring, and Fault Diagnosis in both Bangladesh and Canada. Since 2021, he has also been collaborating with the research team at Syncrude Canada and working on various industrial projects..
