KIN 240 - Introduction to Sports Injury Management

Analysis of practical and theoretical concepts of sports injury. Includes an overview of sports injury identification, management, care and prevention of injuries, and guidelines for return to activity. Requires payment of additional student instructional support fees. Refer to the Fees Payment Guide in the University Regulations and Information for Students section of the Calendar. Prerequisite: KIN 100. Note: Credit will be granted for only one of KIN 240 or PEDS 240.

Winter Term 2021
KIN 435 - Applied Resistance Training

The scientific examination of resistance training as an applied training methodology for general conditioning and sport-specific enhancement. Emphasis on resistance training techniques, lifting mechanics, program design and implementation will be the core element. Supplementary topics include plyometric training, Olympic lifts, and selected population program modifications. Prerequisite: KIN 335. Note: Credit will be granted for only one of PAC 490 or KIN 435.
