This course represents the second stage in preparing students for academic study in English. EAP 102 develops the academic literacy and oral fluency necessary for a strong foundation in academic English skills. The course is delivered in two parts: one focused on reading and writing, and the other focused on speaking and listening. By the end of the course, students will be able to participate in group discussions about straightforward academic topics, demonstrate a growing understanding of written and spoken academic texts, and express ideas in writing at the sentence level with some clarity.
