Covers assessment approaches under Alberta and Canadian legislation and regulations including the EIAs role in a major project, how to complete a cumulative environmental assessment, addressing approval conditions, and use of the EIA a tool for environmental management. Requirements for public and Indigenous consultation, gathering stakeholder input into the EIA process, and expected outcomes will be outlined.
