An introduction to Indigenous legal traditions, including core principles and processes, and how they intersect with Canadian law. The course also explores contemporary legal issues affecting Indigenous peoples, such as land claims, treaties, criminal law, health law, and family law. While there are no prerequisites, taking LAW 201 prior to LAW 204 is strongly recommended. Not available to students in the J.D. program.
