An exploration of the principles and concepts that underlie the movement of individuals and groups in a variety of settings. As the focus of the course is on the development of conceptual understanding of movement, a wide range of activities and their contexts will be examined and experienced. Note: Credit will be granted for only one of PAC 101 or KIN 294.

Acquisition of theoretical knowledge and personal skills used in the instruction of the basics of aquatics. Prerequisite: Aquaquest Level 8, or RLSS Lifesaving II, or YMCA Level 3, or Red Cross Level Blue, or the ability to swim front and back crawl efficiently.

The purpose of the course is to: a) develop an understanding of stress, its causes and its effects on the human body; b) to comprehend the principles of yoga practices and their application in managing stress; and c) to learn and practice specific yoga exercises for stress management.
