This honors essay course is the first in a sequence of courses designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and applied research in Strategy and Management. In this course, students will develop the technical, ethical, and relational skills necessary to design and execute an applied research project leading to an Honors essay. By the end of this course, students will have completed a research proposal and begun the research they will complete in the next course in the sequence. As part of this course, we will provide a critical forum for rethinking the role of the researcher within the context of Indigenization and Decolonization, including research based on reciprocity, respectful relationship-building, and free, prior, and informed consent. Restricted to students in the Strategy and Management Honors Program.
