Critical evaluation of major theoretical approaches and historical antecedents in the development of psychology. Examination of historical injustices based on psychological research, with a focus on the local context. Discussion of Indigenous, queer, and feminist psychology and the psychology of colonization. Prerequisites: AUPSY 103 and fourth year standing. Notes: Open only to a student with a major in Psychology or Psychology and Mental Health. AUPSY 408 is classified as an arts course. Credit may be obtained for only one of AUPSY 408 or AUPSY 409.
