This course, designed to increase the student's ability to write effective essays, emphasizes the study of grammar, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure. The study of models of prose style is integrated with frequent practice in writing. ENGL 299 is not a remedial course. Note: Restricted to students in the Faculty of Education. Prerequisite: 6 units of junior English, or 3 units of junior English plus WRS 101.
