This seminar examines the conditions and consequences of the global fashion industry, exploring how capitalism, globalization, labour standards, and international trade policies shape fashion as a social, economic, and political system. This course will analyze the fashion industry across diverse geographic and cultural contexts. Prerequisite: 60 units and HECOL 241 or consent of instructor.
