Fundamental principles of electron scattering and of the transmission electron microscope, space group theory and application to crystal structure determination, electron diffraction theory, crystallography of precipitation and of defects, TEM imaging theory and application to materials analysis, analytical electron spectrometry. Prerequisite: Graduate student standing or consent of Instructor.
