This course explores the relationship between culture, diet, lifestyle and health in a Mediterranean environment. Students will examine factors that influence health, including the geo-political, socioeconomic, and cultural factors. Patient care and pharmacist roles in the prevention and/or management of chronic disease are considered. This course is taught in Italy. Please contact the Faculty for additional information. (Restricted to Pharmacy students entering the fourth year of the program.) Credit may not be obtained for PHARM 453 if credit has already been obtained for INT D 375.
