An examination of parks as recreation environments together with an analysis of the relationship between park planning, design and subsequent management and maintenance in terms of meeting the requirements of the park agency, the park user and the resource base. Attention is focused on both the common themes in park management and the specific problems of parks operation and maintenance associated with particular types of parks contained within a comprehensive park system. Note: Field Trips are an integral and required component of this course. Requires payment of additional student instructional support fees.
