Mathematical analysis of problems associated with ecology, including models of population growth (e.g., discrete, continuous, age-structured, limited carrying capacity), the population dynamics of ecosystems, the spread of epidemics, the transport of pollutants, and the sustainable harvesting of vegetation and animal populations.
