This course introduces students to the Alberta secondary school mathematics curriculum, instructional planning, and pedagogies. Students will demonstrate interpersonal teaching competencies through immersive participation and reflection on mathematics inquiry pedagogies. Corequisites: EDFX 350 and courses in the Introductory Professional Term (IPT) for the Secondary Education Route. Note: Successful completion of the on-campus portion of the IPT is required prior to being granted permission to continue into EDFX 350.

Students will apply theories and integrate prior teaching experiences to expand their teaching competencies through participatory peer teaching and teacher-led inquiry projects. Prerequisites: EDFX 350, EDSE 337, and 24 units in the Major subject area. Note: Successful completion of the on-campus portion of the Advanced Professional Term is required prior to being granted permission to continue into EDFX 450.
