An introduction to sustainable development approaches to dealing with environmental issues. Prerequisite: Any 3 unit course. Not available for students with credit in HGP 250 or SUST 201.

PLAN 505A - Master's Major Project

SUST 201 - Introduction to Sustainability

An introduction to the history of sustainability as a concept, contemporary sustainability issues, and the diverse perspectives that disciplines and professions take on while approaching sustainability. Not available to students with credit in HGP 250 or HGEO 250.

SUST 410 - Directed Study in Sustainability

3 units (fi 6)(VAR, 3-0-0)

Directed research or study in an area of sustainability defined by the student and a supervising instructor. May be used to fill the integrative project requirement of the Certificate in Sustainability. Registration requires approval of the Sustainability Council Office.

PLAN 412 - Finance for Planners

An introduction to municipal finances and the development process as it relates to the Planning profession. Prerequisite: ECON 101. Not available for students with credit in HGP 412. Restricted to Planning Major and Planning Specialization students.
