Augustana Faculty

Indigenous feminisms are intersectional theories and practices that focus on the link between patriarchal and colonial oppression, Indigenous sovereignty, and human rights for Indigenous women and 2SLGBTQ+. In this course, we will explore a variety of texts through the lens of Indigenous feminisms, including stories, plays, and films. With a focus on Indigenous Peoples of North America, this course considers the connections and tensions between feminism, Indigenous-settler relations, and social justice.
