Geological field studies with emphasis on properties of sedimentary rocks, paleontology, stratigraphy, Quaternary geology, structural mapping, and Cordilleran tectonics. Field exercises teach the fundamentals of recording field data, reconstructing depositional environments, and tectonic interpretation. This field school takes place immediately following the Winter examination period. Requires payment of additional student instructional support fees. Enrolment is restricted to honours and specialization students in Geology, Environmental Earth Sciences and Paleontology. Prerequisites: EAS 233, and one of EAS 222, 235 or 236.
