This course examines how authors across different eras and genres address climate change and other environmental concerns, while sometimes offering solutions through fiction. Topics will include nature preservation, ecological degradation, rethinking the relationship between humans and non-humans, climate change and gender inequalities, decolonial ecology, and AI's environmental impact. Prerequisite: FREN 297 or FREN 298 or FREN 300 or consent of the Department.
