LING 422 - Heritage Language Acquisition

Examination of the development, maintenance, and cross-generational transmission of heritage/minority languages spoken primarily in the home. Students will consider aspects of heritage languages that are vulnerable to change, extra- and intra-linguistic factors that influence heritage language acquisition, as well as types of heritage language schooling. Prerequisites: LING 319 or LING 320, or consent of Department.
