Mineralogy and petrography of ore and gangue minerals under the reflected and transmitted light microscope and in hand specimen. Interpretation of ore textures and paragenetic sequences. Geological characteristics and distribution of ore deposits, including deposits of base and precious metals, diamonds, and industrial minerals. Prerequisite: EAS 331.
