This course covers the fundamentals of nuclear and radiochemistry. Topics include: subatomic particles, radioactive decay (natural, alpha, beta, and gamma), the liquid drop model of the nucleus, fission, applications in radiochemistry and radiopharmacy, applications of radioactive isotopes in physics, chemistry, biology and medicine. Not open to students with credit in CHEM 468.
