FREN 321 - Migrant Voices in the French-Speaking Literary World: From Here, There and Elsewhere

Through novels, plays, and films, the course aims to explore migrant literature. The transcultural themes of (im-)migration, exile, assimilation challenges, identity formation, xenophobia and racism will be examined, and topics such as the importance of sensorial memories and representations of cultural belonging will be discussed. Prerequisite: FREN 297 or FREN 298 or FREN 300 or consent of the Department.
