★ 3 (fi 6)(EITHER, 3-0-0)

Faculty of Science

Basic formation evaluation with emphasis on determination of lithology, porosity, permeability, fluid saturation of reservoir rocks; basic principles of standard downhole wireline logging techniques (gamma ray, spontaneous potential, sonic, density, neutron, resistivity) and interpretation of downhole wireline data; review of some other advanced logging techniques; core sampling methodologies; introduction to modern laboratory petrophysical techniques; core-well log integration.
